Arduino oder ESP32 — was ist der Unterschied und was eignet sich wofür?

Der Arduino Uno arbeitet mit 5 V, ist robust und für den Einstieg ideal. Der ESP32 arbeitet mit 3,3 V, ist deutlich schneller und bringt WLAN und Bluetooth schon mit. Faustregel: Soll der Aufbau ins Netz oder Daten funken, nimmst du den ESP32. Geht es ums Lernen und um einfache Schaltungen, reicht der Arduino.

Wie funktioniert PWM und wann nutzt man PWM statt Gleichspannung?

PWM heißt Pulsweitenmodulation: Statt die Spannung zu verringern, schaltet der Mikrocontroller sie sehr schnell an und aus. Das Verhältnis von An zu Aus bestimmt die mittlere Leistung. Motoren laufen damit langsamer und LEDs dunkler, ohne dass Energie in Wärme verloren geht — deshalb nutzt man PWM statt einer einfachen Spannungsreduzierung.

Was ist ein Raspberry Pi und worin unterscheidet er sich von Arduino?

Der Raspberry Pi ist ein vollwertiger Kleincomputer mit Betriebssystem, der Arduino ein Mikrocontroller ohne Betriebssystem. Der Pi eignet sich für Kamera, Netzwerk und Bildschirm, der Arduino für alles, was direkt Sensoren und Motoren steuern soll und sofort startet.

Was ist ein Arduino bzw. ein Mikrocontroller?

Ein Mikrocontroller ist ein kleiner Rechner auf einer Platine, der genau ein Programm ausführt. Der Arduino ist die bekannteste Plattform dafür: Board, kostenlose Programmierumgebung und eine große Bibliothek an fertigem Code. Du schließt Sensoren an, lädst dein Programm auf das Board, und es läuft — auch ohne PC.

Was ist eine H-Brücke?

Eine H-Brücke ist eine Schaltung aus vier Schaltern, mit der sich die Stromrichtung durch einen Motor umkehren lässt. Damit kann ein Motor vorwärts und rückwärts laufen — angesteuert von einem Mikrocontroller, der selbst viel zu wenig Strom liefern würde.

CH340 oder CH341 — wo ist der Unterschied und wo finde ich den Treiber?

Beides sind USB-Seriell-Wandler, die auf vielen Arduino-kompatiblen Boards sitzen. Der CH341 kann zusätzlich Schnittstellen wie I2C und SPI, für den Arduino-Betrieb sind beide gleichwertig. Unter Windows braucht es meist einen Treiber — die Anleitung dazu findest du in unserem Anleitungsbereich.

Elektronische Module für Arduino und ESP32

Ein Modul ist ein fertig aufgebauter Baustein. Der Sensor sitzt schon auf der Platine, die Widerstände sind verlötet. Du verbindest drei oder vier Kabel mit deinem Arduino und liest den Wert aus.

Alle Module arbeiten mit 3,3 V oder 5 V und passen damit an Arduino Uno, Nano, ESP32 und Calliope mini. Von Temperatur und Abstand über Funk und Display bis zu Motoren und Pumpen.
