Product description

This 6 V DC motor with an integrated metal gearbox is suitable for powered wheels and mechanical load distributors in mobile robots and vehicle models. The 1:90 gear ratio significantly reduces the motor speed while increasing the torque; when operated at 6 V, the motor reaches approximately 160 revolutions per minute at the output shaft.

The metal gearbox construction reliably withstands this reduction and operates with low wear. The 3 mm shaft accommodates wheels or couplings. A motor driver is required to reverse the direction of rotation or control the speed; it switches and regulates the battery voltage.

The motor fits vehicle-style robot chassis with a TT motor mount, such as two- or four-wheeled autonomous systems. Typical applications include line-following robots based on educational boards or small mobile platforms for sensor tasks. In everyday projects, the low torque at this speed eliminates the need for additional gears or toothed belts.

The motor is operated with a 6 V battery (four AA cells); a separate motor driver must be purchased. Since the metal gears are closely meshed, the motor must be protected from stall loads to prevent it from locking up and drawing excessive current.
