Product description

This development board is built around an ESP32-WROOM-32 chip. The processor has two cores and can be clocked between 80 and 240 MHz, with 512 kB SRAM and 4 MB flash memory available for programs and data. The two pin headers provide 34 digital inputs and outputs as well as analog channels with adjustable voltage, including the SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN interfaces. Some of the pins are internally assigned and are not available.

The board integrates 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, both in the 2.4 GHz band. This enables wireless communication with other devices, connection to existing networks, and operation as an independent access point. Programming is carried out via Micro-USB without an additional adapter, as the CP2102 converter is already soldered onto the board. One button puts the module into programming mode, while a second triggers restarts.

The board is suitable for IoT projects in which sensor data is transmitted wirelessly, for network-based control of actuators, and for developing standalone Wi-Fi devices. One example project could be the wireless monitoring of room temperatures with centralized evaluation, where several of these boards are placed at different locations and continuously send data to the local network.

The board requires a computer with a USB port for programming. The driver for the CP2102 chip must be installed. Development is carried out with Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, or MicroPython.
