Product Description
The speed controller operates according to the PWM principle (pulse-width modulation) and controls DC motors or LED lamps within a voltage range of 5 V to 35 V. With a maximum current of 5 A, the module is suitable for medium-duty applications in prototyping and for controlling small motors.
Control is provided via PWM input signals, for example from microcontroller boards or analog potentiometers. The module converts the control signals into a variable voltage, continuously adjusting the motor speed or the brightness of LED lights. An integrated freewheeling diode protects against reverse voltages when operating inductive loads such as coil motors.
Applications include variable lighting in development projects, speed-controlled operation of fans, or controlling model motors via PWM commands. The controller can be easily integrated into electronics learning kits where motor control is to be demonstrated.
The module features thermal regulation and shuts down thermally when the temperature exceeds approximately 80 °C to prevent damage. On the input side, it processes a PWM signal at standard logic level, enabling connection to common development boards. The motor's power supply is independent of the control signal.
