Product Description
This photoelectric sensor detects objects in its fork opening using an invisible infrared beam. The sensor consists of an infrared emitter and receiver positioned opposite each other in a fork. When the beam is interrupted, the digital output switches. The 5 V power supply allows direct use with microcontroller boards featuring 5 V logic, such as Arduino or similar platforms.
The 25 mm measuring range limits the object size and detection depth. Applications include material feeders in projects, counting sensors for small parts, and motion detection in confined spaces. In package-sorting mechanisms, for example, the sensor indicates whether a package has reached the correct position without requiring additional positioning devices.
Operation requires a microcontroller or a digital input/output module to query the output signal. Direct control of high-power loads is not possible; relays or transistor drivers must be connected between them. The PCB-mounted design with pin headers requires soldering to connect it to circuits.
Safety Information
The sensor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not designed for installation in household electrical circuits. Work on or near electrical installations is reserved for qualified electricians; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
