Product description
This analog pressure sensor with a flexible membrane measures pressures of up to 40 kPa and outputs the measured value as a continuous voltage between 0.2 and 4.7 V. The measured values can be read using an analog input on microcontroller boards or sensor boards, provided they supply 5 to 15 V for the operating voltage.
The measurement signal increases linearly with the applied pressure. Since the output is analog, evaluation requires an analog input or a digital input with an analog-to-digital converter. The flexible membrane responds to mechanical stress, so the connecting cable should be protected from kinks and tension.
The sensor is suitable for monitoring pneumatic systems, controlling compressed-air distributors, or pressure equalization systems in technical setups. It is also used in flow meters or for altitude determination in balloon probes or drones where weight must be kept low.
Operation requires a power source supplying 5 to 15 V. Due to their limited resolution, the measured values require software post-processing when accuracy better than approximately five percent of the measuring range is required. The flexible membrane must not be exposed to impacts or pressure exceeding 40 kPa.
Safety information
The sensor is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. Its use is limited to prototype construction and testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if you are unsure about integration, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
