Product description
This mono audio amplifier delivers 1000 W of output power in Class-D operating mode, making it suitable for demanding Hi-Fi applications. Class-D technology uses pulse-width modulation and switches the output transistor in a square-wave pattern with a variable pulse width, minimizing losses. Its energy efficiency enables a compact design without active cooling.
The amplifier operates at a supply voltage of 48 V and is designed for 8-ohm loads. Both inputs, the balanced XLR connections and the unbalanced RCA inputs, enable flexible source connectivity. Because heat generation is low, active ventilation is not required, and an aluminum heatsink is sufficient.
Applications include amplifying subwoofers in multichannel Hi-Fi systems, where a single high-power mono channel handles low-frequency signals, as well as PA systems for medium-sized event venues. The amplifier also performs reliably in laboratory setups for measuring speaker behavior or testing audio components.
Operation requires a regulated 48 V power supply with sufficient current capacity. The output load must be at least 8 ohms to prevent damage to the output circuit. If necessary, use external preamplifiers or level controls to manage the signal level between a high input voltage and the amplifier input.
