Product Description
This connection cable with JST-XH2.54 connectors connects two sockets via three color-coded insulated wires. The 26 AWG conductor size enables reliable power transmission under low to medium current loads. The 2.54 mm pitch corresponds to the standard used by many pin headers on microcontroller boards and expansion modules.
The cable's special feature is the twisted routing of the two outer wires. While the middle (yellow) wire remains in the same position at both ends, the red and black wires are swapped between the connectors. This is required when two sockets are oriented relative to each other in such a way that a straight connection would reverse the polarity, for example on expansion boards for Calliope systems or similar circuit boards where the sockets are arranged as mirror images.
The pre-assembled connectors provide a ready-to-use connection without soldering. The color coding of the wires helps identify the individual contacts. The cable can be disconnected and reconnected at any time, simplifying repeated reconfigurations of setups.
Use requires JST-XH2.54 sockets on the circuit boards or modules to be connected. The 400 mm length is suitable for short to medium distances between sockets on a board or between adjacent modules. This cable is not suitable for longer distances or other connector types.
