Product Description
An alcohol vapor sensor with an analog output enables real-time detection of ethanol concentrations. The sensing element reacts to alcohol vapors and outputs an analog signal that can be connected directly to an analog input on a microcontroller board.
The sensor requires a warm-up phase of approximately 20 seconds before the readings become stable. This should be taken into account when writing the initialization routine. The measurement range of 0.04 to 4 mg/L covers typical ambient concentrations; higher alcohol vapor concentrations are outside this range.
Typical applications include breath monitoring in safety applications, fermentation process monitoring in laboratory setups, quality control in production environments, and sensor testing projects in electronics education. The simple analog output also makes the sensor suitable for initial measurement projects without complex interface communication.
