XH-M229 ATX power supply adapter - 12 V, 5 V, XH socket 2.54 mm
This goes with it
Description
Product Overview
- Adapter for connecting ATX power supplies to prototype boards and development setups
- XH socket (2.54 mm pitch) for connection to the board power supply connector
- Connectors for the +12 V, +5 V, and GND lines of a standard ATX power supply
- Power supply for projects with higher power consumption or multiple modules without an external power distribution system
Product Description
The XH adapter connects an existing ATX power supply directly to prototype boards and development systems. This eliminates the need to purchase a separate power supply for projects that require more power than a USB port or small laboratory power supplies can provide.
The power supply is connected to the adapter via its standard connectors. The XH socket at the other end fits common board connectors with a 2.54 mm pitch. This allows multiple modules to be powered without individual wiring.
Typical applications include complex robotics projects in which motors and sensors operate simultaneously, as well as systems with numerous LEDs, relays, and actuators. Long-term testing and development setups also benefit from a centralized, stable power source instead of multiple individual power supplies.
The adapter requires a ready-to-use ATX power supply. The 12 V and 5 V outputs should be matched to the requirements of the target board.
Safety Information
ATX power supplies operate at voltages of up to 12 V and can deliver considerable currents, so secure connections are essential. The adapter is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household mains circuits. If you are unsure about the power distribution or power supply of the complete setup, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning it.
