Product Description
This parallel charging board significantly reduces the time required to charge multiple 1S LiPo batteries by charging four cells simultaneously. With a 5 V USB-C connection, it supplies up to 4 A of total current, with each of the four charging circuits providing a maximum of 1 A per cell. The current is distributed automatically and independently, allowing batteries with different capacities to be charged in parallel.
Each charging circuit has an individual fuse that limits the cell current and protects against short circuits. A microcontroller continuously monitors the charging process and automatically interrupts charging when a cell reaches the nominal voltage of 4.2 V. If the voltage drops below 2.5 V due to deep discharge, a protective shutdown is triggered to preserve the cell's health.
The board is suitable for operating multiple multicopter batteries in parallel, for educational projects with several sensor modules, or for laboratory setups with various portable power sources. The quick replacement of four identical or similarly sized cells without waiting between individual charging cycles is particularly convenient.
Operation requires a 5 V USB power supply with a capacity of at least 4 A. The four batteries must be connected via the respective JST-XH connectors; other connector types require adapters or soldering. Depending on the cell capacity, charging takes approximately two to four hours when all four channels are used at full capacity.
Safety Information
Lithium-polymer batteries can catch fire if damaged, overcharged, or short-circuited; defective or swollen cells must not be charged. The charging board is designed exclusively for charging 1S LiPo batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V and is not suitable for other battery types. This module is intended exclusively for prototypes and testing and development purposes and is not designed for connection to the household power grid; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
