P35 float switch - water level sensor with switching output
Description
Product Overview
- Float switch for detecting water levels
- Switching output for digital signal processing
- Operates according to the magnetic float principle
- No power supply required for the sensor
- Designed to be maintenance-free and durable
Product Description
The float switch measures water levels using a buoyancy-controlled switching mechanism. The device responds to changes in the water level by having a float trigger an internal magnetic switch as the water rises. The output provides a digital signal that can be connected directly to microcontroller boards or logic circuits.
Since the switch itself does not require a power supply, no power lines to the sensor are needed; only the output signal must be wired to the control device. The magnetic switch operates without wear because no mechanical contacts come into direct contact with the water. The device is suitable for applications requiring reliable level notifications without complex sensor technology.
Typical applications include monitoring cisterns, rainwater tanks, or collection containers in automatic irrigation systems. The switch is also used in sump pump circuits or water tanks in mobile systems. A suitable housing or mounting inside the container is required to keep the float freely movable and prevent water from entering the electronic circuitry.
Safety Information
The device is intended exclusively for prototypes and testing and development purposes and is not designed for connection to domestic water systems or pressurized industrial pipelines. Work on water installations or their surroundings requires appropriate expertise; if you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
