Product description
This DC power jack adapter connects a power source via a screw terminal block to standard barrel-jack devices. The female socket accepts DC barrel plugs, while the two screw terminals on the other side accommodate power wires that can be connected and disconnected as often as needed.
The screw terminals enable secure, cold-welded contacts without soldering. This greatly simplifies the setup of test circuits, as wires can be changed quickly and every connection remains reproducible. Power sources such as power supplies, laboratory power supplies, or battery holders can be connected easily.
The module is used in prototyping setups where power sources are frequently exchanged, in test benches for electronic modules, and wherever a permanently soldered connection would be impractical. It is particularly useful in laboratories or training projects, as it avoids unnecessary downtime caused by resoldering.
Before connecting, the positive and negative wires must be correctly connected to the screw terminals. Labeling on the adapter indicates which terminal carries which polarity. It is compatible with all standard barrel plugs of the corresponding size.
Safety information
