Product Description
This switching power supply converts AC voltage from a wall outlet into stable 12-volt DC voltage, reliably supplying microcontroller boards, sensor modules, and small actuators with power. The integrated protection circuit limits the current output to a maximum of 2 A and automatically interrupts the power supply in the event of a short circuit to protect components from damage.
With an available power output of 24 W, the power supply is suitable for building and testing prototypes that combine several power-hungry modules. A single servo drive module may require approximately 1 to 1.5 A, allowing a sensor module to be powered in parallel. The power output is also sufficient for the stable power supply of relay circuits, small DC motors, or LED strips.
The 12-volt output voltage is not directly compatible with boards using 3.3-volt or 5-volt logic; voltage regulators are required as an intermediate stage to reduce the input voltage to the required levels. The power supply is delivered without an external load and reaches full stabilization only under operating load. For continuous tests lasting several hours, ensure adequate ventilation so that the device does not overheat.
Safety Information
The power supply is not intended for installation in household power circuits or permanent installations. It is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near the power supply line must be carried out by qualified electricians; if you are unsure about the correct connection, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
