Product description

The radio module uses LoRa modulation and enables data transmission on the 433 MHz frequency. Its range of up to 5 km in open terrain makes it suitable for distributed measurement networks and spatially separated sensor stations, while significantly shorter distances should be expected indoors or in the immediate vicinity of obstacles.

The module is connected to the host device via the serial interface (UART) and outputs received data as TTL signals with 3.3 V logic levels. A level shifter is required to connect it to 5 V controller boards. Configuration is carried out via the SPI interface, while power consumption during operation remains low thanks to LoRa modulation.

Typical applications include monitoring systems with multiple measurement points, such as garden sensors for soil moisture distributed across several beds, radio beacon projects in model aircraft technology, or simple telemetry links for balloon experiments. The module is also suitable for stationary data loggers that need to transmit their measurements periodically while requiring a long-lasting power supply.

A stable 3.3 V power supply is required for operation. The antenna is connected externally and must be tuned to the 433 MHz frequency. Operation is exclusively as a standalone radio module without network connection or radio authorization in the band used; regional regulations for radio frequencies must be observed.
