Product Description
A current sensor rated up to 30 A with an integrated measurement display monitors current flows in circuits and systems. It distinguishes between charging and discharging currents, measuring bidirectionally, and reliably detects both DC and AC.
The measuring module is galvanically isolated in the power line and senses current flow without contact. The 0.1 A resolution allows closer monitoring of smaller loads, while the ±1.5% accuracy is sufficient for typical applications. The built-in display shows current and instantaneous power directly, without the need for external measuring instruments.
The analog output (0 to 5 V) can be tapped simultaneously and connected, for example, to microcontroller boards or data loggers. This allows the module to serve as a standalone measuring instrument and as a component in automation or monitoring systems. Typical applications include monitoring battery charging and discharging, measuring current in solar installations, monitoring laboratory power supply outputs, and troubleshooting suspected short circuits in wired circuits.
The operating voltage range is 4.5 to 30 V, allowing connections to laboratory equipment, battery systems, and renewable power sources. Note that an operating voltage is required and the circuits being measured must be designed for a maximum current of 30 A.
Safety Notice
This module must not be installed in household mains wiring (230 V / 400 V). It is intended exclusively for prototyping, testing, and development. Work on or near electrical installations must be performed by qualified electricians; if you are unsure about the correct wiring or power supply, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
