Product description
This trimmer potentiometer is an adjustable resistor for PCB mounting. Inside, a movable contact taps the resistive track, enabling a variable partial voltage between 0 and 10 kOhm. Adjustment is only possible using a tool with a hex socket, not by hand, so the component is suitable exclusively for adjustments that are rarely repeated.
The component has three pins for through-hole mounting: two at the ends of the resistive track and one at the wiper. The horizontal design protrudes only slightly above the circuit board and also fits on densely populated boards or in low-profile housings.
Typical applications include setting reference voltages in power supplies, calibrating measurement circuits, or fine-tuning signal levels in sensor circuits and amplifiers. Since adjustment requires a tool and is not performed continuously, the trimmer is used where adjustment is completed after assembly.
