Product description

This mount connects a stepper motor directly to a ball screw and also supports the screw. The aluminum housing contains an integrated ball bearing that supports the screw and absorbs radial loads while transferring the motor's rotary motion to the screw.

Ball screws operate without backlash because balls circulate inside the ball nut instead of rubbing against the thread flanks. This significantly reduces rolling resistance, which in turn requires less driving force and limits wear. This mount is designed for screws with a diameter of approximately 16 mm, such as those used in the common SFU2004, SFU2005, and SFU2010 sizes.

The included adapter rings allow adjustment for four different motor flanges. This means the mount can be selected according to the available motor and installed flexibly in linear axes for CNC milling machines or positioning systems where stepper motors are intended to drive screws with high precision.

Use requires a ball screw with a suitable diameter and a stepper motor in one of the four supported NEMA sizes. The included adapter rings are necessary for correct installation on the respective motor flange.
