Product Description
The reed sensor detects magnetic fields and outputs them as digital signals. The device is used wherever positions need to be detected, movements counted, or door openings monitored. The sensor operates contactlessly and without wear.
The sensor uses a switching principle in which a magnetic field opens or closes switching contacts. The output signal is digital and can be connected directly to microcontroller boards. Since it only requires a 5 V operating voltage, the sensor is compatible with common development boards without level shifting.
Typical applications include detecting door openings in security systems, counting rotations on axles, or detecting positions in mechanical systems. In model making, the sensor can trigger actions when a magnet approaches or makes contact.
The sensor is connected via the XH2.54 3P connector. Commissioning requires a 5 V power supply and a microcontroller with a digital input.
Safety Notice
The sensor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in the household electrical circuit. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
