Product description
This development board combines a powerful ESP32 microcontroller with a LoRa radio interface in the 868/915 MHz ISM band. The integrated OLED display shows measured values and status messages directly on the device, without requiring an additional display unit.
The LoRa radio enables ranges of several kilometers in open terrain, making it ideal for applications that need to communicate over long distances without requiring high data rates. The board operates with 3.3 V logic levels, so a direct connection to 5 V systems requires a level shifter. Power can be supplied either via USB-C or an external battery, enabling off-grid installations.
Typical applications include decentralized sensor networks for humidity or temperature measurement in agriculture and logistics, portable data loggers for field trials, and prototypes for long-range IoT alarm systems. The board is also frequently used as a gateway between LoRa sensors and a local network.
Programming requires the Arduino IDE or a similar development environment, as well as the required board and library files. Operation in the household power circuit is prohibited; LoRa frequencies are subject to regional regulations that must be checked before use.
Safety information
The 868 and 915 MHz frequencies are subject to different regulations in different regions; the applicable regulations must be observed before commissioning. This board is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in the household power circuit. Work on or near electrical installations is reserved for qualified electricians; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
