Product description
This development board is based on the ATmega2560 and is programmed via the Arduino IDE. With 54 digital outputs and 16 analog inputs (10-bit resolution), it provides the foundation for projects with numerous sensors, motors, or display elements.
The board can be powered either via USB or an external voltage source from 7 to 12 V. An integrated regulator provides 5 V for the digital logic, while a second supplies 3.3 V at a maximum of 50 mA for compatible modules. This allows sensors with different logic voltages to be connected without installing additional level shifters.
Four independent UART interfaces as well as SPI and I2C enable parallel communication with multiple devices. The CH340 converter connects the board to the computer via USB; an automatic reset during programming is not available. Labeled connection headers make the pin assignments immediately visible, allowing sensors and expansion boards to be connected without a circuit diagram.
Robotics controllers, 3D printer electronics, sensor networks, and automation projects with many parallel inputs and outputs benefit from the high number of pins and the 256-kB flash memory. The EEPROM permanently stores calibration data and settings.
The Arduino IDE and the USB driver for the CH340 chip are required. The board is intended exclusively for prototype development, testing, and educational purposes, not for installation in household electrical circuits.
