Product description
This brushless motor is suitable for small multicopters and drones with individual motors, with a total weight of up to approximately 250 grams. Its design without sliding contacts enables high rotational speeds with low wear and maintenance requirements.
The motor reaches a rotational speed of 2300 rpm at an input voltage of 1 volt. At typical operating voltages of 7.4 to 14.8 volts (2-4S lithium-polymer batteries), this results in a maximum rotational speed between 17,000 and 34,000 rpm. The CCW rotation is intended for a specific motor position in the multicopter frame and must be coordinated with the other motors; a motor with CW rotation would not fit.
Applications include racing drones and freestyle multicopters, where a fast response to control commands is required, as well as small camera drones with lightweight cameras. In the project, the motor is connected directly to a brushless speed controller, which controls the pulse-width modulation of the battery voltage.
A suitable brushless speed controller (ESC) with a sufficiently rated current range is required; this motor can handle approximately 15 to 25 amperes continuously. The motor does not work without a controller and a battery. Propellers of the correct size are also necessary; 5 to 7 inches are typical for this motor power.
Safety information
This motor is not intended for operation at mains voltage and is intended exclusively for building drones and for testing and development purposes. The rotors can cause serious injuries during operation; keep hands and loose clothing away during commissioning. Work on the power supply or battery should be inspected by a qualified electrician if there is any uncertainty.
