Product Description
A brushless motor controller determines a motor's speed using pulse-width-modulated signals and automatically selects the phase-switching sequence. This mini controller handles up to 20 A continuously without cooling, making it suitable for lightweight aircraft models, racing drones, or fast ground vehicles weighing only a few grams.
The BLHeli firmware matches the commands from the remote control receiver or microcontroller to the motor types. The controller is operated via a standard RC servo connector and draws its power and return current from the LiPo cells. Two to four cells are supported; charge status and temperature management must be handled by the power source.
The device is suitable for aircraft models, drones, and racing vehicles where weight and space requirements are critical. One application is controlling a 3000-kilovolt motor in a 250-gram racing quadcopter via remote control.
The controller requires a brushless motor with a compatible phase connection scheme and a LiPo battery within the specified voltage range. Three- or four-cell batteries provide a stable 11.1 to 14.8 V. Programming via computer is only necessary if the operating parameters deviate from the default settings.
Safety Notice
This controller is intended exclusively for building prototypes and development purposes and is not suitable for use in household electrical circuits. Simultaneous power supply from multiple sources is prohibited and will damage the device. If you have questions about correct wiring, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
