Product Description
This 16-channel relay module switches DC loads of up to 10 A per channel. It is controlled via digital signals from microcontroller boards operating with 3.3 V or 5 V logic. The optocoupled input electrically isolates the control signals from the relay circuit, preventing interference in digital systems.
The module requires an external 12 V power supply with sufficient current capacity for the loads being switched. Up to 16 independent outputs enable the construction of more complex circuits, such as simultaneously controlling multiple motors, solenoid valves, or heating elements from a central controller. Control via standard GPIO outputs makes the module compatible with all common development boards.
Applications range from automation prototypes and conditional lighting circuits to experimental control systems for model-making or laboratory setups. It is typically used in projects where multiple load circuits need to be switched centrally without placing higher currents on the control circuit. An external 12 V power supply with sufficient power for the connected loads is required, as well as a microcontroller or signal generator that provides digital outputs.
Safety Notice
This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for installation in household electrical circuits. The relay outputs may only be subjected to voltages of up to 12 V and currents of up to 10 A per channel. When working on or near the power supply, especially when connecting bare wires, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
