Product Description
This brushless speed controller controls motors in aircraft models with inrunner or EDF drives. It converts the DC voltage from a battery into a three-phase alternating signal that drives the connected brushless motor. The speed is specified via a PWM control signal from the receiver or flight controller.
The device has three heavy-duty motor wires for connecting the motor, as well as thick battery cables for the power supply. A thin three-wire control cable performs two tasks simultaneously: It carries the PWM speed signal and also supplies a stabilized 5 V voltage for the receiver. This eliminates the need for an additional power supply for the receiver system in many setups.
Several internal protection functions activate automatically. An overtemperature shutdown interrupts operation if excessive heat is generated, the undervoltage detection protects the battery from deep discharge, and the motor switches off immediately if the signal from the receiver is lost. An arming lock prevents the motor from starting accidentally when the device is switched on.
The basic settings for braking behavior, timing, and cutoff voltage can be adjusted via the radio-control transmitter or with an optional programming card. In its factory-default state, the device is configured with proven factory settings and operates immediately without further adjustment. The blue plastic housing protects the electronics from mechanical damage. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, the controller is suitable for small to medium-sized aircraft models as well as multicopters with comparable power requirements.
Safety Information
This speed controller is intended exclusively for building model aircraft and for testing and development purposes; it is not designed for integration into household appliances or industrial systems. The high-current connections must not be reversed; ensure correct polarity when connecting the battery. In the event of a fault or if you are uncertain about commissioning, please consult a qualified electrician.
