Product Description
The 1000 KV brushless motor serves as a drive unit for unmanned aerial vehicles and fast land vehicles. Its rated speed of 1000 revolutions per volt means that it reaches approximately 11,000 revolutions per minute when connected to an 11-volt battery, making it ideal for propellers in the medium power range and for vehicle drives.
The motor operates according to the principle of electronically commutated rotation: a controller alternately supplies current to the windings, creating magnetic fields that drive the rotor's permanent magnets. The maximum current draw of approximately 30 amperes requires a suitable controller with the corresponding current rating. The 13-tooth pinion is mounted onto the standard motor shaft and fits all common gear sets for model vehicles.
Applications range from racing drones and FPV multicopters to medium-sized remote-controlled aircraft models. This motor type also provides consistent performance in electric racing cars. With propeller diameters between 8 and 12 inches or in vehicle gear systems operating above the 3S battery voltage (11.1 volts), the motor reaches its optimal operating range.
The outrunner design uses the entire winding for the air gap and cooling effect; bearing wear therefore occurs significantly later than in inrunner motors. An electronic controller is required for operation and handles current commutation. The motor is connected to the controller via three phases, allowing speed adjustment via a PWM signal from a receiver or flight controller. Operating voltages between 7.4 and 14.8 volts (2S to 4S lithium-polymer) are supported; higher voltages may damage the windings.
Safety Information
This motor generates considerable centrifugal forces during operation and can cause lacerations. Propellers and pinion attachments must be securely fastened and must not be loose. The motor is intended exclusively for assembling aircraft models, vehicle prototypes, and test setups, not for industrial applications or continuous operation in a household environment. Overloads or damage may cause winding fires; if you are unsure about safe operation, consult a qualified professional with experience in model aviation or electric mobility technology.
