Product Description
A parallel charging board with XT60 connectors allows multiple lithium batteries to be charged simultaneously from a single power source. Instead of charging each battery individually, up to six cells are connected in parallel via the XT60 connectors. This saves time and significantly reduces the number of charging cycles required.
The board distributes the charging current evenly among all connected batteries. The balancer connector monitors the cell voltages to prevent overcharging and deep discharge. This keeps all cells within the safe range, even if they have different capacities. Calibration is not required.
Applications are primarily found in drone and RC model aviation, where multiple batteries are flown and charged in parallel. The parallel charging board also saves time in portable power supply systems or with power tools using interchangeable battery packs. For field use with several consecutive flights, it is significantly more efficient than charging individually.
The board requires a separate charger with sufficient current and the appropriate cell-count setting. For example, six LiPo cells at 2 A each require 12 A to be available. An incorrect voltage setting can lead to overcharging, so the charger must be configured correctly beforehand.
Safety Information
Lithium batteries can generate significant heat and cause fires if overcharged or short-circuited. The board must be continuously supervised during charging. If the board or connectors are damaged, stop charging immediately and separate the affected batteries from the others. This device is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes; it is not suitable for installation in the household electrical circuit.
