Product description
This TTGO board combines an ESP8266 microcontroller with a Wi-Fi module and a monochrome white 0.91-inch OLED display. It is suitable for beginners and advanced users who want to implement Wi-Fi-enabled projects with direct visual feedback. The Arduino IDE programs the board without any additional specialized software.
The 128*32-pixel display shows text, simple graphics, or sensor readings without requiring a separate display board. The 4 MB of flash memory supports programs of medium complexity and allows configuration data to be stored. With typical active-mode power consumption of 70–160 mA (depending on Wi-Fi usage), the board requires a stable 3.3 V power supply; USB power is common.
Typical applications include IoT data collection, a temperature logger with a Wi-Fi connection, a door sensor that sends its status to a server, or a simple control panel for networked devices where commands can be viewed directly on the display. The display immediately shows whether the connection has been established or whether errors have occurred, making it ideal for troubleshooting during development.
The Arduino IDE with the ESP8266 support package installed and a Micro-B USB cable for connecting to a computer are required. The board requires an external 3.3 V power supply if it is not operated via USB. The available pins are limited after accounting for the display and reserved functions, so only straightforward sensor and actuator connections are possible.
Safety information
The board operates its wireless functions with high-frequency signals; critical applications, particularly in the medical or safety sectors, require inspection by a qualified electrician. The product is intended exclusively for prototypes and testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in the household power circuit. A qualified electrician must be consulted when working on or near the building's electrical installation.
