Product description
This sensor simultaneously detects acceleration and tilt angles, each along one measurement axis. The signals are available at the analog output and can be connected directly to microcontroller boards with 5 V inputs. The module can be mounted on any surface that accepts a 3-pin XH2.54 connector, or connected via a suitable cable.
Vibration measurements detect accelerations of up to 10 g at frequencies starting around 50 Hz. Tilts are detected within an angle range of ±90°. The output voltage follows the measured values linearly, allowing both quantities to be processed in the program using simple arithmetic without requiring conversion formulas.
Typical applications include monitoring machine vibrations for early detection of wear, checking the tilt of bearings in shelves or transport containers, detecting changes in inclination on sloped surfaces or assemblies, and triggering alarms in the event of shocks in sensitive systems. The module can also be quickly integrated into measurement setups and prototypes to document mechanical processes.
The module requires a power supply between 4.5 and 5.5 V. Data acquisition requires a microcontroller board with analog inputs (ADC). The accuracy of tilt measurements depends on a level reference surface used for calibration.
