Product description
The UV sensor measures the intensity of ultraviolet radiation and outputs the readings via the I2C interface. The module operates with a 3.3 V and 5 V supply voltage, so it can be connected directly to standard Arduino boards and similar microcontroller platforms. I2C addressing makes it possible to operate multiple sensors in parallel on the same data and clock lines when the hardware supports multiple I2C addresses.
The measurement range of 250 to 400 nm covers the UVA and UVB ranges. Calibration is not required; the readings are available immediately after booting. The module is suitable for monitoring tasks outdoors and in controlled environments, for example to document radiation exposure at workplaces or to control UV warnings in applications.
Operation requires a microcontroller board with an I2C port. Power can be supplied via the Arduino's 3.3 V or 5 V rail, with minimal power consumption. No additional components are required for basic operation.
Safety information
This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. It is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits or devices with mains voltage. When working near electrical installations, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
