Product Description
The isolator coupler is a stepped plastic component positioned between the hot nozzle area and the cooler extruder section. Glass-fiber-reinforced PTFE (GF20) conducts heat less effectively than pure PTFE, preventing the filament from softening above the print nozzle. The stepped shape fits precisely into the hot end holder, and 1.75 mm filament passes through the central bore.
As a wear part, the coupler is exposed to repeated thermal stress. Friction with the filament can cause the bore to widen over time, or the material may age and become brittle. Replacement is then necessary to restore reliable printing results. The component can be installed in the existing assembly without tools.
The replacement coupler is designed for Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2+. It is suitable for hot end maintenance when print quality deteriorates or filament feeding problems occur. No additional accessories are required for operation, as all necessary mounting surfaces are already present.
