Product description
This push fitting connects the Bowden tube to the extruder or hotend. The M6 thread is screwed into the corresponding hole, while the 4 mm tube is inserted from the opposite side. Inside, there is a spring-loaded clamping ring with teeth that guides the filament and securely holds the tube.
When inserted, the teeth of the clamping ring slide over the tube and allow it to pass only in the insertion direction. Pulling it out is possible only when the black plastic clip on top is pressed, releasing the clamping force. As the fitting has no stop, the tube can penetrate continuously into the housing; there is no insertion-depth limit, so the tube is stopped only by external resistance, such as the hotend itself.
The nickel-plated metal housing and the black plastic clip withstand the temperatures and forces that occur during printing. The fitting is suitable as a replacement part in case of wear or for retrofitting during printer modifications. The fitting is ready for immediate use with PTFE tubes with a 4 mm outer diameter.
The tube must be externally limited to prevent it from entering the fitting completely. This requires a suitable fastening or a stop on the hotend thread.
Safety information
This component is intended exclusively for building and maintaining 3D printers. It becomes hot during printing and can cause burns; work on the printer must be performed only when it is switched off and cooled down. Work on the printer's electrical installation is reserved for qualified electricians.
