Product description
PTFE tubing sold by the meter is used for conveying liquids and gases in chemically demanding applications. The fluoropolymer material is resistant to almost all chemicals, alkalis, and acids. This makes the tubing indispensable wherever standard plastics would be damaged by aggressive media.
The material withstands operating temperatures from -20 °C to +200 °C, and the 2 mm inner diameter is suitable for fine dosing and compact tubing arrangements. The smooth PTFE surface reduces flow resistance and deposits, allowing even more viscous liquids to continue flowing. The tubing is purchased by the meter as needed and secured with suitable connectors or clamps.
Typical applications include laboratory setups with chemical recirculation, analytical instruments for sample delivery, prototypes of dosing and pressure systems, and liquid cooling circuits with high-quality or aggressive media.
When working with the tubing, note that connectors and clamps must be procured separately. The choice of connection method depends on the medium and the pressure. Above approximately 10 bar, stronger tubing classes are required.
Safety information
PTFE tubing is intended exclusively for laboratory setups, prototypes, and development purposes, not for permanent installation in household systems. When handling aggressive or toxic chemicals, occupational safety measures and applicable safety regulations must be followed. If in doubt, clarify compatibility with the manufacturer of the medium to be conveyed before use.
