Product description
The RFID keypad lock combines an alphanumeric input panel with card-reading functionality and is suitable for automated access scenarios requiring both PIN and chip-card authentication. Intruders must either enter a valid code or present an authorized card; both methods control separate outputs, allowing different locking mechanisms to be activated.
Power is supplied via 12 V DC. The keypad tolerates repeated pressing and exposure to the elements, making it suitable for use at building entrances, fence gates or uncovered warehouses. The interfaces to the locking mechanisms use relay outputs that can switch both DC and AC loads up to typical inductive ratings, including door openers, electric strikes and electronic locks.
The panel is used in smaller autonomous areas without central control, at campsites and recreational facilities for rows of cabins, in archive rooms with graded criticality levels and in mobile containers on construction sites. Typical scenarios use a single RFID card set and two to five authorized PIN variants per security area.
The supplied mounting hardware is compatible with standard surface-mounted boxes. The 12 V power supply must be provided via a separate power adapter, which is not included in the delivery. For permanent or mains-powered security applications, an uninterruptible power supply must be purchased; battery operation for short-term emergency unlocking is implemented using external buffering.
Safety notice
The device is intended exclusively for building and testing prototypes and for development purposes, not for installation in building electrical circuits or permanent security systems. The 12 V power supply is provided via separate external power sources; work on or in the immediate vicinity of electrical installations may only be carried out by qualified electricians. If there is any uncertainty about safely integrating the device with locking mechanisms and emergency power supplies, a qualified electrician must be consulted before commissioning.
