Product description

A simple push button with an XH2.54 connector connects directly to breadboards or via headers to microcontroller boards. The switch closes its contact only while pressed; it opens again when released.

The three-pin version enables various wiring configurations: two pins can be used as a changeover switch, or both switch contacts can be wired in parallel to distribute mechanical wear across multiple contacts. For digital inputs, simply querying the logic level is sufficient.

These push buttons are used in robotics projects for commands such as start and stop, on learning boards for input detection, in prototypes for user control, and in expansion modules as additional controls. Typically, a pull-up or pull-down resistor is activated on the microcontroller to filter out contact bounce.

The XH2.54 connector fits common modular systems and breadboards. For direct connections to larger connectors, an additional adapter cable simplifies wiring. With frequent actuation, wear resistance and contact reliability should be checked.
