Product description
The module combines three LEDs on one circuit board for additive color mixing. Each color channel is connected via the XH2.54 3P connector, which can be plugged directly into compatible sockets. The module operates at 5 V and requires one digital PWM output of the connected microcontroller for each channel.
Pulse-width modulation allows the brightness of each color channel to be adjusted continuously. Independent control produces all mixed colors in the RGB color space. The module does not provide any built-in current control; it is controlled directly by the microcontroller, which keeps the circuit complexity low.
The module can be used for light signaling, status indicators, or decorative lighting effects in prototypes and development projects. One specific scenario: a sensor measures the room temperature, and the microcontroller controls the RGB LED from blue (cold) through green (pleasant) to red (warm), with the color indicating the status at a glance.
The LED requires a PWM-capable digital output for each color channel. Current-limiting resistors are not included in the module and must be installed between the microcontroller and the LED inputs.
