Product description
The Multitool Adapter for DOBOT robot arms serves as a universal interface between the robot arm and interchangeable tools or grippers. The system is based on a mechanical quick-change coupling with integrated signal lines, enabling tool changes without time-consuming calibration or repositioning.
The adapter is mounted on the standardized tool interface of the DOBOT arm and then provides mounting points and electrical connections for a wide range of end-effector types. Different tools can be switched quickly in the control software through automatic tool recognition. This allows multiple tasks to be completed consecutively in a work cell without the arm having to remain idle frequently.
Typical applications include flexible manufacturing cells where a robot performs various tasks in succession, such as loading, then welding, then inspecting. The quick-change function also saves considerable time during assembly tasks involving changing components. The modular design allows adaptations to the operating limits of different tools, such as varying weight limits or power requirements.
Operation requires a compatible DOBOT CR Series arm and an enabled adapter interface. Tool compatibility depends on the mounting flange and power requirements; the robot software datasheet provides information on current limits and supported signal types.
Safety notice
The adapter is intended exclusively for operation with supported DOBOT robot arms. During maintenance work on the quick-change system, the robot must be disconnected from the power supply and all movements must be locked to prevent injuries. If there is any uncertainty regarding load capacity, electrical connections, or safety functions, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
