Product Description
The slide switch is a miniature component for direct installation in breadboards. With its 2.54 mm pitch, it fits securely between the contact rows without separate wiring. Depending on the variant, the switch positions can be configured for two or three settings.
The slide switch manually switches electrical connections; contact changes are controlled by sliding rather than pressing. With voltages up to 5 V and currents up to 0.5 A, the switch is suitable for control lines of digital inputs on microcontroller boards, as well as for directly operating LEDs or small sensors. The contacts withstand frequent switching without wearing out.
Typical applications include switch panels in prototypes, mode selection in test setups, or simple logic experiments with digital inputs. Multiple switches can be used to quickly create control combinations, such as switching between operating modes or entering binary states without external wiring.
The switch requires no additional circuitry and fits directly into the openings of a standard breadboard. Connections via jumper wires are also possible if the pads are occupied. It is important that the switching voltage does not exceed 5 V and the current does not exceed 0.5 A.
Safety Information
The switch is intended exclusively for the assembly and testing of electronic prototypes. Do not operate it at mains voltage or in circuits connected to mains voltage. If higher voltages or currents need to be switched, consult a qualified electrician to prevent damage or safety risks.
