Description
Product Overview
- Miniature slide switch for breadboards
- Two switch positions, normally open contact
- Breadboard-compatible pin header with 0.1-inch pitch
- Low switching capacity for logic and control voltages
- Robust metal construction
Product Description
This slide switch with breadboard pin headers can be installed directly in standard breadboards. The slider connects or disconnects two contacts; it does not work with air, but simply closes the circuit.[paragraph break] The metal construction stands out for its robustness; a few actuations will not damage the contact. Since the switch is designed only for smaller currents, it is suitable only for logic signals and low control voltages, not for high loads.[paragraph break] In prototypes, it can control LED settings, measurement modes, or program sequences, for example. A temperature measuring device can use it to select the measurement range, while a control board can use it to activate specific sensor assemblies. It is also ideal for quickly testing conditions without additional logic chips.[paragraph break] Connection is made via sturdy pin headers with a 2.54-mm pitch, providing direct contact without soldering. The switch module requires no additional components and fits directly into the project, as long as the switching capacity remains below the specified maximum.
Safety Notice
The switch is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for use in household mains circuits. If the switch carries loads above its rated capacity, contact damage and failures may occur.
