Product Description
The sensor measures temperature and humidity via a digital I2C interface and outputs the measured values directly to a microcontroller board for further processing. The sensor pair operates with low power consumption from approximately 1.1 V; to operate it with 5 V boards, use a level shifter for the digital line.
The two versions differ in accuracy and measurement speed. Under typical ambient conditions, both achieve single-digit accuracy, and calibration after installation is not required. The I2C address can be selected through external circuitry, allowing multiple modules to operate on the same bus.
Power consumption is minimal during operation; the measurement frequency can be configured via the datasheet or firmware settings. Typical applications include monitoring room climate, storage conditions, or machine enclosures. In mobile projects, a small battery is sufficient to provide power for several days of operation.
The sensor requires a microcontroller board with I2C master support and a power supply within the specified range. The measured values are available via the digital interface; there is no analog output. The SMD design requires a breakout board or careful soldering onto a circuit board during assembly.
