Product Description
A piezoelectric knock sensor detects mechanical vibrations and impact impulses through material deformation and converts them into electrical signals. The module requires only a 5 V power supply and outputs the measurement signal as a voltage value that can be read directly via an analog input on a microcontroller board. No calibration is required.
The sensor responds to frequencies up to approximately 1000 Hz and is therefore suitable for low- to medium-frequency vibrations. The analog output signal can be connected to common development boards with 5 V logic using the 5 V interface voltage; a level shifter is required for boards with 3.3 V logic. The XH2.54 socket enables easy connections to jumper wires or pin headers.
Typical projects use the sensor to detect shocks in machines or devices, detect impacts and vibrations in prototypes, or perform quality control through vibration measurement. The sensor can also be used for art installations or dance projects designed to respond to mechanical stimuli.
A 5 V power supply or battery is required; a capacitor for voltage stabilization is recommended. The sensor is intended exclusively for prototypes and development.
