- Color-coded wires for polarity
Product description
The adapter cable connects JST-XH connector systems with DuPont sockets, as commonly used on microcontroller boards and sensor modules. Rewiring is not necessary when the sensor or actuator is equipped with one connector system and the target board with the other.
The four separately insulated wires enable the connection of a complete functional group, such as the power supply and signal line for a sensor. The color coding allows the correct polarity to be quickly checked against the circuit diagram. With 24 AWG, the wires are suitable for current draws of up to approximately 1 A per wire, which is sufficient for sensors, small servos, and control signals.
The cable is useful in laboratory setups where different boards and sensor modules are combined, for example when connecting a DuPont-compatible sensor to a JST-XH-equipped actuator module, prototyping with several boards from different manufacturers, or testing sensors before final soldering. With 15 cm per wire, the wiring remains clear and can be arranged in confined spaces.
Before plugging in, check that the plug and socket are mechanically compatible and that the contacts are not damaged. For continuous operation, the cable should be mechanically secured to prevent wear caused by repeated plugging and unplugging.
Safety information
The maximum current draw per wire is limited to approximately 1 A; a cable with a larger cross-section is required for higher demands. The cable is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits.
