Product Description
This load pressure sensor measures weights of up to 5 kg using an integrated load cell and outputs the measured values digitally. The 24-bit analog-to-digital converter detects even the slightest pressure fluctuations, enabling measurements in the per-mille range. The serial interface allows the sensor to be connected directly to microcontroller boards.
The sensor operates according to the piezoelectric principle: pressure on the load cell generates electrical voltage changes, which the integrated converter digitizes. The sensor module requires only a small amount of current, below 1.5 mA, and operates reliably at a 5 V operating voltage. Software calibration is required, but it can be performed easily.
Applications include scales for small loads, dosing in laboratories or workshops, and weight monitoring in mobile or portable systems. This sensor is also suitable for project setups with automatic weight control.
A microcontroller board with at least one digital input and output for data transmission is required. The load cell is already connected at the factory and does not need to be purchased separately. A protective circuit against electrostatic discharge protects the module in case of improper handling. The sensor is intended for prototype setups and is not designed for continuous operation under extreme environmental conditions.

The module must be protected against electrostatic discharge; wear an antistatic wrist strap when handling it. The device is intended exclusively for prototype construction and testing and development purposes, and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits.
