Product Description

A sensor set with 35 components enables a quick introduction to sensor-based control with microcontrollers. The set contains temperature sensors for detecting changes in heat, light sensors for detecting brightness, humidity sensors, and various other measuring devices. All sensors operate according to simple physical principles and output their measured values as electrical signals that the microcontroller can evaluate.

The individual sensors connect to the controlled board via jumper wires and sockets. Since the sensors have different voltage-range and interface requirements, check which levels your own board provides before connecting them. A breadboard is included; an external power supply is not required as long as the controlled board has its operating voltage.

Typical applications include environmental monitoring, in which temperature and humidity in stored goods or test setups are continuously recorded, as well as simple threshold alarms for activating relays or buzzers. The sensors can also be used to create night lights or trigger cameras when motion is detected. In prototyping, they are used for quickly validating concepts before specialized custom-made sensors are integrated.

The included documentation explains the electrical values and interfaces of the individual components. Level shifters are required for boards with different voltage levels. A power supply is not required if the main board is powered by an existing power source.
