Product description

A female header with a 2.54-mm pitch connects components on circuit boards or between assemblies. Depending on the version, the 3-mm pin is inserted directly into a solder pad or press-fit contact and can also be secured without soldering. The design is compatible with standard pin headers and development boards.

The single-row design saves space on the circuit board and is suitable for signal lines or power supply connections. If you want to add contacts later, you can use additional headers with the same pitch, but planning the connection positions is advisable because they cannot be changed.

Typical applications include building sensor and actuator shields for microcontroller boards, connecting modules via permanently wired or plug-in connections, and expanding experimental setups. In prototype projects, the header replaces soldered wires with plug-in contacts, reducing error rates when reconnecting repeatedly.

If you do not want to or cannot solder, choose the press-fit contact version. For all versions, the diameter and pitch cannot be changed; subsequent mechanical or electrical adjustment is not possible. The pin length depends on the thickness of the circuit board.
