Product Description
This temperature and humidity sensor measures two variables simultaneously and sends the values digitally to microcontrollers. The single-wire protocol requires only one signal wire, keeping wiring to a minimum: in addition to power and ground, only one data pin is needed.
Measurement accuracy is ±2 °C for temperature and ±5% for relative humidity. The temperature range of 0–50 °C covers indoor environments and many technical applications, but not high-temperature or extreme-cold environments. The humidity measurement reliably covers 20–80% relative humidity; below or above this range, the sensor no longer provides accurate readings.
The sensor is suitable for indoor climate measurements, greenhouse monitoring, storage monitoring, and consumer devices such as digital hygrometers. It also performs reliably in automation projects that rely on low-cost sensor data. A typical application is monitoring storage conditions by continuously measuring and evaluating temperature and humidity, for example to trigger thresholds and send alerts.
The XH2.54 connector provides secure connections without soldering. A microcontroller with a free digital input is required; control is handled using libraries for popular platforms. The sensor operates at voltages between 3.3 and 5 V, so no level shifters are needed. Measurements can be taken once per second; the protocol does not support a higher rate.
