Product Description
A microcontroller board with a CH340 converter connects a microcontroller directly to the computer’s USB port. This enables both programming and serial communication over a single connection. Anyone using the Arduino IDE can immediately work with familiar programming tools without having to install additional software.
The CH340 chip converts USB signals into serial data. This eliminates the need for a separate adapter and keeps the board compact. The 5 V operating voltage powers both the processor and most connected sensors and actuators, provided they are also designed for 5 V. A level shifter is required for 3.3 V modules.
The board is suitable for beginner projects such as blinkers and temperature displays as well as for medium-sized automation projects, such as controlling motors via relays or reading multiple sensors using the I2C bus. The through-hole pin headers fit directly onto a breadboard, reducing wiring effort.
Operation requires a USB port on the computer. CH340 drivers must be installed before the first upload if the operating system does not already include them. The USB connection can supply power for extended periods, but permanently higher power requirements require an external power supply connected to the voltage inputs.
