Product description
The plastic film capacitor with a capacitance of 0.1 µF and a rated voltage of 100 V is suitable for circuits in the field of AC and DC voltage technology. Unlike electrolytic capacitors, this capacitor is non-polarized and can be installed regardless of the connection direction.
The CBB component stores charge when a voltage is applied and releases it again. It is typically used for smoothing voltages, decoupling circuit sections, filtering interference signals, or as a component in resonant circuits. The rated voltage of 100 V is designed for applications with voltages up to this level; continuous operation above this limit will damage the component.
Examples of use include decoupling circuits in analog switching amplifiers, RC low-pass filters for suppressing noise in measurement signals, or compensation elements in control loops. The capacitor is also used in power supplies for voltage stabilization and in oscillator circuits.
Proper power supply is required for use. The component must be dimensioned so that the actual applied voltage does not exceed the rated voltage of 100 V. Storage conditions are room temperature and dryness; exposure to moisture impairs long-term functionality.
Safety information
Capacitors can store charge and remain dangerous until they have been discharged. This component is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, and is not suitable for installation in household mains circuits. If you are unsure about safe use in a circuit, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
