Product Description

This battery compartment provides flexible power for prototypes and development projects. It accepts six AA cells connected in series, which provide approximately 9 V DC, or alternatively a standard 9 V battery. A selector switch enables quick switching between both power sources without modification.

Connection is made via a DC plug with a diameter of 5.5 * 2.1 mm, which fits common microcontroller boards and development boards. This eliminates the need for external power supplies and cable connections, while the batteries and plug form a compact system. The on/off switch enables control of the power output.

The compartment is suitable for portable test setups, field-based measuring devices, and projects that need to operate temporarily without an external mains connection. Prototypes for sensor networks, autonomous robotic vehicles, and remote data loggers can be powered quickly. Rechargeable AA cells are recommended for long-term operation.

A power supply is not required. The maximum current depends on the battery selected and should be taken into account in the project setup. In continuous applications with high power consumption, a battery will discharge more quickly.
