Product description
A keyboard module with five buttons provides a simple way to enter input using analog signals. Each button generates a unique analog voltage signal that the connected microcontroller’s analog-to-digital converter can read directly. This eliminates the need for complex decoding in the code, since each button press corresponds directly to a known voltage value.
The module requires a 5 V operating voltage and can be connected directly to a controller’s analog inputs. If you need to query multiple buttons at the same time, simply use several analog inputs in parallel. The simple circuit also ensures high reliability without interference-prone multiplexing logic.
In an automation project, the module serves as an input interface for control commands, for example, to select different operating modes for a robot or start measurements. In portable measuring instruments, it enables manual function selection without additional electronics. The keyboard module also works reliably as a simple user interface in industrial prototypes.
A compatible 5 V DC power supply is required for operation. Connecting it to 3.3 V systems requires a level shifter at the signal output. A power supply is not included.
Safety notice
This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. It is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. Qualified electricians must be consulted when working in the immediate vicinity of electrical installations or if there are any uncertainties before commissioning.
